Our modern four-star hotel has 110 comfort rooms. Conference guests from renowned companies and large corporations like to travel to Haltern from all over Germany. The range of services for restaurant, hotel and conference guests as well as short breaks has been consistently expanded over many years. In this way, all guests can enjoy the beautiful nature and the extensive range of leisure activities.
The family business is successfully continued in the second generation by Elke Kandaouroff and Dr. Anni Hüttemann.

The history of the hotel can be traced back till 1927. The name of the hotel refers to the “Halterner Stausee” which is opposite. The hotel built by the industrialist Rohling in 1927 already existed 3 years before the Halterner Stausee was flooded. For many decades the “Hotel-Restaurant Seehof” has been very popular. However, standard and equipment were no longer up to date and thus could not correspond any longer to the claims of a modern gastronomy.
In 1997 the industrialist Klaus Kandaouroff bought the “Hotel Seehof”.
The old “Hotel Seehof” was completely renovated and partly new designed. At the same time a new hotel building was planned and realized. This new building is very unique for this region. The aim was to create a wellness and conference hotel without losing the popularity as destination for day and weekend guests. The old and the new building were connected by an architecturally designed round glass tower where the reception and lobby are located.
Today the “Hotel Seehof” is a popular conference and wellness hotel, not only known within the Haltern region.
